Luna's Story

"You're so ugly!"
"Everyone hates you!"
"Why don't you just go kill yourself?!"
Thirteen year old Luna Lawrance walked away from her middle school, her head hanging low. Silent tears slid down her face, They're right... She thought, I'm useless. No ones ever going to love me... She shook the terrible thoughts from her head and finished her walk home.
"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" Luna called, walking into the living room. She heard yelling from upstairs. Her parents were fighting again. Luna sighed and went to her room, slamming the door and hopping onto her bed. The hurtful words of her classmates kept ringing in her ears, and her thoughts stayed depressed. She flopped onto her back and staired at the ceiling, contemplating something to do.
After another hour of moping, Luna decided to go out. She slipped on her Converse and out into the cool night air. She breathed it in and jogged down the road. Once she was out of the more residental area, she knew she had made a mistake. Luisianna wasn't the best place for a young teeage girl to be by herself. She ignored the nagging sense to go home and walked on.
After walking for a while, the heard laughter behind her. She just barely turned and cursed under her breath. Three boys from her school were walking torwards her. She thought about running, but the they'd notice her. Maybe they havn't seen me. She thought hopefully.
"Hey Loony!" One of them called. She cursed again, they had deffinatly seen her. She turned around, "Er, hey guys."
They had reached her then, mischievous glints in their eyes. She gulped, "How's it going, Loony?" The tallest of the three said.
She gulped, "Oh, fine. I was just heading home."
One of them grabbed her roughly on the arm, "Oh, no you're not. We wanna hang out with you."
The others laughed and they pushed her in a dark ally. Tears started to well in her eyes from their roughness. They laughed again and shoved her against the wall, pinning her there.
"Let me go!" She cried, kicking out. One of them punched her hard in the jaw. They all laughed as she started crying harder. The tallest, she tried to remember his name, Tommy, ripped off her shirt. She shivered when the cold air touched her bare skin. The others laughed, "Looks like she's nervous, Tom."
He smiled, "Don't be nervous, we're gonna have fun."
The tears started pouring out of her eyes as she tried to push him off her. He found the clasp of her bra and unhooked it, laughing.

Hours later when they left, Luna was left cold, topless and bruised in the alleyway. She stood up, crying and grabbed her shirt, slipping it on. The words they had said to her haunted her memories. You should enjoy this. They said, No one else will ever do this for you. They said it like what they did to her was a favor. She stumbled home, the bloody bruises all over her body slowing her down. When she finally made it home, her parents were gone. Leaving her a note that said they would be back tomorrow. She crawled up the stairs and into the bathroom. She sat on the toilet seat and cried until she didn't think it was possible to cry anymore.
Looking around, Luna saw a shaving razor and picked it up. She looked at it, contemplating her options. It would be so easy.  Luna thought, I could end all the pain right now... She lowered the razor onto her wrist and slashed down as hard as she could. She let out a cry of pain but smiled a little before slashing the other one. "So easy..." She whispered, collapsing onto the ground.

Luna woke up hours later, feeling weak and woozy. She looked at her wrists, they were covered in dried blood. As was the ground. Her eyes widened, "I'm alive." She started crying again, thankful for survival. She quickly cleaned off the ground and her arms before going into her room. "I survived..." She whispered, laying on her bed.
